- Fall, 2003 - First organizational meetings held.
- March, 2004 - Christ Lutheran Church votes to join Network
- June, 2004 - Wellesley Congregational (Village) Church votes to join Network.
Process of incorporation begun.
- January, 2005 - Bylaws adopted by the organization
- January, 2006 - 7 host congregations on board
- May, 2007 - Formal notice of interim 501 c 3 status
- May, 2007 - Community Meeting with Karen Olson, IHN’s founder
- May 2007 - Wellesley Congregational Church votes to contribute a $50,000 gift from the
service component of its Moving Forward in Faith Capital Campaign
- July, 2007 - Initial Board of Directors appointed (9 members)
- July, 2007 - First Baptist Church identifies space for Day Center
- December, 2007 - Church coordinators established for the host congregations
- January, 2008 - 14 passenger van donated by Lutheran Social Services’ Good News Garage
- January, 2008 - Total fundraising exceeds 50% of first year’s budget
- May, 2008 - 13 host congregations and 8 support congregations
- September, 2008 - Beth Cooper hired as Network Director and Marcia Praver as Assistant Director
- October, 2008 - Construction services for Day Center bathroom donated by the Shawmut Design and
Construction Company
- October 15, 2008 - MIHN welcomes its first family at the Pilgrim Church
- March, 2009 - Participation by 13 host and 10 support congregations. As of early March, 5 families,
including 7 parents and 11 children, have been served.
